DAY 1

Our trip begins with a visit to a Kauri park followed by an impressive water fall, where you will also get the opportunity to swim behind and under it. When we arrive at our accommodation, you will be treated to a delicious dinner, before we party the night away at local bars.

DAY 2

Being so far north already, we have the perfect opportunity to travel to the northern-most point of New Zealand to the famous Cape Reinga. Aside from the stunning views, you are given the unique chance to watch two oceans (Pacific and Tasman) clash together. Thanks to the foaming waves and unequal water colour, you can really see and feel what happens when such powerful forces come together. Close to Cape Reinga, we will visit 90 miles beach, which, as the name indicates, seems to stretch for an eternity. After a relaxing day at the beach, we will return to our accommodation for another BBQ and continue our Partying from where it left off the night before.

DAY 3

The Bay of Islands is a sub-tropical region towards the top of the North Island. This means that the weather is often a few degrees warmer, the water is crystal-clear and the marine life is abundant. Basically, it is the closest thing you’ll get to a “tropical-island” style holiday in New Zealand. What better way to make the most of this place than to go on a boat cruise? Regular cruise This is the popular half-day cruise that includes a journey the length of the Bay of Islands and takes us through the “Hole in the Rock” and a stop-over at the beautiful Urupukapuka Island (lonely islands) where you can relax on the beach or walk to the peak to enjoy 360-degree views of the region. The highlight of the trip will undoubtedly be the dolphin/whale sighting.
  • Duration 4 hours – departs: 9:00am and returns: 1:00pm (you can get off in Russell and take a later free boat to be in Paihia at 3pm, bus will depart at 3.20pm!)
  • This tour is optional during your Bay of Islands trip. However, please note that this only includes dolphin spotting and watching, but no actual swimming!
